“It’s easy to talk the talk, but can you walk it too. Many people say they don’t care about the Certificates or awards their children receive, but what happens when it actually doesn’t happen.
Over the years I have come to the level of understanding and acceptance that enables me to come from a place of truth when I say this. I am not superhuman, there is a twinge of disappointment but it lasts a few seconds and I allow it and then release it.
I am a product of traditional parenting, a legacy of academic achievement deserves love and acknowledgement. I refuse to carry this over to my children. Your child’s effort, hard work and dedication is the win, the achievement. Loving a child who has not given you a parenting accolade is a test of your consciousness. They must be loved no matter what!
